Exceptional dining from start to finish! The warm atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel at home. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, which reminded me the taste from the outskirts and streets of Nepal. The presentation itself was just as impressive. Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-rated restaurants in the vicinity of Aldershot Town. I’ll definitely be back again Dunga!!

I visited Dunga Aldershot and the highlight for me was the Darjeeling momo. They were soft, juicy, and full of flavour, especially with the delicious dipping sauce. Definitely a must-try if you visit.
The restaurant is a small, casual place with a relaxed vibe.
The service was good – staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

All the staff were incredibly professional, and the hospitality was top-notch. It was my first visit and I was thoroughly impressed, definitely looking forward to coming back again soon!

The waiters were not professional and we had to remind them about our order multiple times before it was prepared correctly. The waiting time was very long, which made the experience frustrating. Overall, the service needs significant improvement.

Two time Worst experience
1. We placed an order, but after 10 minutes the waiter informed us they couldn’t prepare the food due to kitchen issues and cancelled part of the order.
2. We then waited 1 hour for the food and another 1 hour for the takeaway.

The staff were polite and friendly, but waiting 2 hours for food is unacceptable. The food itself was good, but the excessive delay completely ruined the experience. I wouldn’t return.

The food was really good and the portion sizes were generous, so credit where it’s due.

However, the overall experience let it down. For the price, the lemonade came in a very small glass which didn’t feel reasonable. The restaurant also felt quite unorganised. Our waiter came over four times to ask what we had ordered because the order had been lost, which became frustrating.

Service was very slow and it wasn’t just our table. A lady seated next to us was also waiting a long time for her food and was clearly becoming frustrated. Having to repeat an order multiple times isn’t acceptable.

Because of this, I wasn’t happy paying a service charge. When I questioned it, I was told it couldn’t be removed because I was paying by card, even though service charge should be discretionary. As a new restaurant, there is clearly room for improvement in organisation and transparency. I hope them the best !

Very disappointing experience.

We planned to visit on a Saturday evening and tried calling a day in advance to book a table, but no one answered. We also tried calling again on the same day with no response.

We then travelled all the way from Camberley to Aldershot specifically to dine here, only to be told on arrival that the restaurant was fully booked. We were also told that calls are not answered once the restaurant is fully booked.

This was extremely frustrating, as we would not have travelled such a distance if we had known there was no availability. It would be helpful to have a voicemail message, automated response, or clearer booking system to avoid customers wasting time and travel.

Unfortunately, this experience has put us off returning.

Highly recommend trying at Dunga. Great tasty food with friendly and helpful service. The chef if I’m not mistaken is also award winning. I would go ahead and recommend to others.
